The Play What I Wrote

The Play What I Wrote

The show is a celebration of the British double act Morecambe and Wise, and an irreverent and farcical exploration of the nature of double acts in general. Its title is drawn from one of Morecambe and Wise’s catchphrases, as is “A Tight Squeeze for the Scarlet Pimple”, the “play within a play”.

Dan made his West End debut as a special guest star in “the play within a play”, “A Tight Squeeze for the Scarlet Pimple”, playing the son of Count Toblerone, who is locked up during the French Revolution and then freed in disguise by the Scarlet Pimpernel – which required Dan to wear a dress and a wig.
