The Trevor Project

The Trevor Project is an American non-profit organization founded in 1998 and the leading national organization focused on suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth.

Dan became involved with the charity in 2009 and has recorded PSA’s, hosted events and taken part in other activities to raise awareness of the charity. He was awarded The Trevor Project’s Hero award in 2011 and you can see him give his inspiring speech below.

Get Connected is the UK’s free, confidential helpline for young people under 25 who need help and don’t know where to turn. Our service is available 365 days a year and young people can contact us by phone, webchat, email, text message or use our online directory, WebHelp 24/7.
In 2009 the charity launched it’s friend scheme and honoured Dan by naming him as their best friend.

Demelza Hospice Care for Children
Demelza Hospice Care for Children is a charity supporting families across Kent, South East London and East Sussex – they provide support and respite for families with children who are terminally ill. Care is provided one-to-one with a team of nurses and care assistants.
