The first trailer for Now You See Me: The Second Act has been released! This is our first glimpse of Dan as Walter, a character we don’t know too much about yet. Here’s the official synopsis:
THE FOUR HORSEMEN [Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Lizzy Caplan] return for a second mind-bending adventure, elevating the limits of stage illusion to new heights and taking them around the globe. One year after outwitting the FBI and winning the public’s adulation with their Robin Hood-style magic spectacles, the illusionists resurface for a comeback performance in hopes of exposing the unethical practices of a tech magnate. The man behind their vanishing act is none other than WALTER MABRY [Daniel Radcliffe], a tech prodigy who threatens the Horsemen into pulling off their most impossible heist yet. Their only hope is to perform one last unprecedented stunt to clear their names and reveal the mastermind behind it all.

The BBC have released a short interview with Dan ahead of tomorrow’s premiere of The Gamechangers. In the video, Dan talks a little bit about the TV film and his character Sam Houser. We also get to see a few brand new clips from the drama which airs tomorrow on BBC Two at 9pm.
And another gentle reminder:
While visiting the Nylon offices in New York recently (presumably for a future magazine feature), they thought it would be a good idea to put Dan on reception for an hour.
“I’m new and I’m shit,” basically sums up how well he did. Thankfully, Nylon filmed the whole thing and you can watch below.
Earlier today Dan’s Google+ page was updated with a new video showing him running up Table Mountain, along with his two security guards. At the end of the video Dan (along with awesome beard) reveals he nearly gave up 30 seconds in but he managed to carry on and got to the top in 46 minutes.
Personally, I was exhuasted just watching that amount of effort, so well done Dan!
Dan was in Cape Town, South Africa filming Game Changer, a BBC Two drama focusing on the makers of the game Grand Theft Auto. An airdate for the 90-minute piece has yet to be revealed.
A.J. Jacobs’ Global Family Reunion* is taking place in New York as I type, and as promised, Cousin Dan (38 degrees of separation from Jacobs – Dan is his first cousin once removed’s husband’s third great aunt’s husband’s fourth cousin twice removed’s wife’s second cousin’s brother-in-law’s sister-in-law’s son-in-law’s brother’s great-grandson) has sent along a video message to the attendees. Until the live stream is (hopefully) archived, you can watch the screen recording of Dan’s message below.
As Dan is likely still in New York, there’s a chance he might even show up at the event – if he does, we’ll keep you posted!
* Even the staff here can say “I am a cousin”; Sarah has 38 degrees of separation from AJ, Emma 43 degrees, and the two are second cousins once removed!
BBC Three has released a small clip of Dan from the upcoming documentary Tom Felton Meets the Superfans. As a self-professed book addict, Dan makes the very good point that it’s much better to be obsessed with a book series than with heroin.
Tom Felton Meets the Superfans airs at 9pm, Monday 23rd March on BBC Three.
